Standalone Farms is a professional equestrian facility offering training, boarding and sales services. Conveniently located in Schomberg, Ontario, just off Hwy. 400, we are one of the closest

A Circuit show barns to the city of Toronto.

Owned and operated by Neil Badcock,

a successful Grand Prix competitor, Standalone Farms provides a unique program geared towards each individual horse and rider.

About Neil Badcock

In his impressive career, Neil has trained with Olympic medallists Jim Elder, Ian Miller, Ann Kursinski and Mark Todd and worked with many other talented professionals like Monica Taylor, Doug Henry and many more. Neil has competed at the Grand Prix level all over North America with great success, including previously winning the Jump Canada Talent Squad Final at the Royal Winter Fair horse show in Toronto.

Neil is a licensed Equestrian Canada coach with a reputation for developing young horses. In addition, Neil is a expert horsemen who generously shares his knowledge and skills with his clients. At Standalone Farms, we don’t just develop riders, but educate our clients to become competent and confident in their horsemanship skills.

Undertanding anatomy and pathology is key. If horses are in discomfort, they cannot possibly give you their best. It is our job to ‘listen’ to the signs of discomfort and address them accordingly.

Standalone Farms operates out of a meticulously maintained property in Schomberg, Ontario. To us, providing a positive environment is integral to maintaining a healthy, happy and productive horse.

Every stall is rubber matted and is generously bedded with top quality, dust-free shavings
Stalls are properly cleaned and maintained multiple times throughout the day

Two large wash stalls (hot and cold running water)
Heated viewing lounge
Heated tack room with ample sized client lockers

Numerous paddocks for full or half-day individual turnout (weather permitting)
Blanket and boots service
Acres of pastures and fields make for wonderful hacking

PROGRAM

We put your horse first. Period.

Our process is simple - honesty, respect and exceptional care are paramount to achieving success. Our coaching philosophy hinges on a foundation of knowledge and care. We prioritize the health and happiness of of each horse, ensuring their physical and mental well-being is woven throughout everything we do.

Every client and horse receives the same high level of care at Standalone Farms. The beginner level hunter is offered the same management as the Grand Prix level horse. Our training program is tailored to each individual client and horse with the goal of empowering our clients to reach new levels of skill and confidence.

Our clients compete at variety of A Circuit shows. Standalone Farms is conveniently located

just minutes from Caledon Equestrian Park in Caledon, Ontario and a short drive from Angelstone Tournaments in Erin, Ontario. In addition we compete at the World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio as well as offer various off-property schooling at other top facilities throughout the year.

We provide a solid foundation to amateurs of all levels and offer technical training and consulting for even the most advanced professional.

We only feed top-quality products. Each horse is continuously monitored and evaluated to ensure they are on the correct diet for their unique needs.

We work with a network of dedicated equine industry professionals. We believe traditional top-quality veterinary care works hand-in-hand with non-traditional forms of equine medicine.

Horses react out of pain, and when you focus on removing that pain, training becomes much simpler.

Horses sold by Standalone Farms have shown at varying levels of competition all over North America.

DIACADO

PROUDLY OFFERED FOR SALE

Diacado (Dio) is a very promising 16.2h, 5yo Hanoverian gelding by Diacontinus.

Dio is extremely brave and always confident to the jumps. He is a scopey, quick study with a lovely rhythmical canter and positive attitude. Dio has competed in the 1.0-1.10M jumpers this season, including some 5yo classes and has also schooled hunter courses. He is very handy and straight forward in the ring and an easy keeper in the barn. This sweet boy would make a great partner for any amateur or young professional looking for their next upper-level mount or lovely equitation project.

A horse whose resume speaks for itself! Numerous wins in the .09-1.10m classes with different riders over the years. Fideel is kind, competitive and very forgiving. If you need a teacher for your Amateur or Junior rider - Fideel is your guy!

Challido is a wonderful 16.3h, 2015 by Cardento. Imported in 2022, this kind, talented horse is scopey, honest and handsome to boot! With mileage up to 1.20 and room for more, this jr/am dream is very well schooled and ready for show season! Chalido is available for lease only. In-barn lease is preferred, but will consider an approved show barn.
